style me pretty awesome!

images - Sarah Yates

Today is a GOOD day. My wedding is now up on Style Me Pretty, one of the most popular wedding sites out there. There are so many awesome people that went into helping my wife and I pull off the wedding of the century, so I want to just take a moment and give a shout out to those people.

Best Wedding Photographer (who was seriously a blast to spend the day with) was Sarah Yates

Tori and Myka of Sitting in a Tree Events coordinated and styled the entire wedding flawlessly

The most authentic Mexican food was served (still dreaming about it) by MIHO Gastrotruck

The best 6 hour dance set of old soul 45's and low-rider oldies was spun by DJ Chavez Gee (he's also an amazing artist!)

Cinematography was shot by our good friend, Mackenzie Mathis of 4 Reel Films

And, of course, my too awesome for words new wife, Junia. Without her, all the small details and touches of our personalities would have never made our wedding as awesome as it was!

I'd like to also mention that the fabric pattern of Amy Butler as well as the font, Buttermilk, from Jessica Hische were both key elements in our whole wedding design approach. Just sayin.

the andres montano blog

As my wedding date gets close and closer, things begin to get more and more in focus and at the same time, more chaotic. Thoughts about our future as motivating individuals as well as an evolving couple, start to gain substance and importance. How do we push ourselves, and each other, to grow and become better at what we love to do? We both know this is the key to happiness: Junia (juniaisabel.blogspot.com) with her writing, Andres with his design.
My first step is to start blogging again.
My main goal for this year is to start documenting my growth and my life in more accessible ways. This, in turn, may open up more doors, motivating myself as an individual (and as a direct result, helping my relationship evolve in better directions).
Sounds Like You and Me is now officially the Andres Montano style and portfolio blog. I will document new projects and inspirations that push me as a designer.
All that being said. Here's to 2010. The year we all do we love to do.
